Red title on green cloth boards which are clean and unmarked with no wear. Internally there is an inscription to front endpaper and a touch of foxing to top and fore edges else clean, tight and unmarked. A Very Good + copy. Coloured pictorial dustjacket by Wigglesworth is not price clipped and has a small mark to front where a small label has been removed, a small loss to head of spine and some small chipping G+.Not dated but the British Library has this as 1947. A novel set in the English village of Mickleham St. Mary of a woman, new to the village, who locals thought dull and reserved but who has a past she is hiding that was anything but dull. Her past catches up with her but her strength of character and her very practical conception of Christianity see her through. The author is the pseudonym of Hazel Iris Addis (1900-1990) a prolific . VERY SCARCE WITH DUSTJACKET
