London Walter Scott 1883 Cloth Very Good AEG No Jacket
Coloured portrait of Garibaldi to frontispiece, tissue guarded. Additional pictorial coloured title page. Preface by author dated 20th June 1882 as a memorial stating that Garibaldi had died (He died on 2nd June 1882) . Coloured plates of Mazzini, Count Cavour, Victor Emmanuel and a view of Nice. Two plates missing from list of illustrations but are not believed to have been removed. Gilt titles with embossed black floral design to cover and spine on green cloth bevelled boards. There is only a touch of light wear to corner tips and to spine head and tail. Internally there is age darkening to endpapers else very clean and unmarked. All edges gilt.
