The VERY SCARCE FIRST EDITION rebound in green cloth boards with gilt title with extra two endpapers. The boards are clean and unmarked with no wear. Internally there are 4 small letters and 2 small numbers in biro to front pastedown. Original book has rounded corners and is complete including the half title page all of which are age darkened but clean and the binding tight. 122 pages and 4 pages of publisher's advertisements bound in at rear. Francis Russell Burrow was the noted referee and handicapper of many of the principal English tournaments. A wonderful book of early tennis preserved for the future.
