Dixon, Sir Pierson Pauline - Napoleon's Favourite Sister London Collins 1966 Hard Cover Fine Good A Fine clean. tight and unmarked copy with dustjacket which has some light wear and chipping. Second impression (first was 1964). The author was British Ambassador in Paris in the 1960's and has lived in Pauline's ambience - in 1814 when she sold the Hotel de Charost, it was bought by the Duke of Wellington, the newly appointed Ambassador, and it is still the British Embassy today. It is this link that prompted Sir Pierson to write her story, enriched with many exclusive photographs. Price:
