London Ward, Lock 1953 Hard Cover Very Good Good Bush, Alice
Black titles and sailing ship motif on light blue boards with pictorial endpapers also of ship and internally very clean, tight and unmarked but age faded. Coloured pictorial dustjacket of Jill holding Diddums and coloured sailing ship to back by Alice Bush has some chipping to top and is not price clipped. Not dated but is in fact 1953 third edition (first was 1927). Uniform with "The Mayflower Series" for young people priced at 2 shillings. When Jill set out to find a new home her only companion was Diddums for Jill would not be parted from her beloved cat - her Mascat as she called him - had an astonishing part to play in the Lone Guide's struggles and welfare.
