The author, the younger daughter of Lord Clifford of Chudleigh, was brought up in Australia during the war living on a sheep station in Victoria where she married. Returning to England she re-married and lived in Sussex with her husband John, Lord Fisher. They founded the Kilverstone Wild Life Park in Norfolk in 1973 as a Latin American Zoo. Illustrated.
