Coloured stylised floral decoration and title block to spine, yellow and black title with large coloured pictorial of "Raymond" with a caged magpie and shoemaker together with large plant on red cloth boards. Very slight fading to top of front board and to spine but pictorial very fresh and bright. Internally very clean, tight and bright but with front endpaper removed. 4 plates and other illustrations and embellishments. 13 short stories, 128 pages + 16 page publisher's catalogue, many with illustrations. A most attractive volume by a prolific Victorian childrens writer. *** A VERY SCARCE TITLE *** in very good condition which is uncommon for juvenilia of this age.
