Black and coloured titles, green and black decoration with inset picture on blue cloth boards which have light wear. Internally there is a neat prize inscription ' 1st prize for highest number of excellents - 87' and a date to front pastedown, some light foxing to closed edges but clean and tight. 2 coloured plates by W. Edward Wighall. Not dated but collates with British Library copy. Title on boards is 'Skylark or a Boy's Influence' whilst the proper title is on the title page. A boy's adventure story featuring a schoolboy nicknamed 'skylark', school adventures and a shipwreck.
