3 VOLUMES. A Fine unmarked set in a Fine slipcase, bound in Regency Rayon cloth, blocked with a decorative Corn Dolly motif by the artist. Map endpapers. Illustrated with wood engravings by Peter Reddick. Desperate Remedies xvi and 392 pages,was first published in 1871 and this text is taken from the 1912 Wessex edition which was the last one to be revised by Hardy. A Laodicean xiv and 407 pages, was first published in 1881 and this text is taken from the 1912 Wessex edition which was the last one to be revised by Hardy. The Hand of Ethelberta xiv and 393 pages, was first published in 1876 and this text is taken from the 1920 Wessex edition which was the last one to be revised by Hardy. It incorporates a few minor alterations which Hardy wished to be made in reprints of the Wessex edition , but which for some reason were not made. **** THIS IS A HEAVY SET WEIGHING 2.5 KILO UNPACKED AND WILL REQUIRE EXTRA SHIPPING ****

Two on a Tower xii and 274 pages, was first published in book form in 1882 and this text is taken from the 1912 Wessex edition which was the last one to be revised by Hardy. A Pair of Blue Eyes xii and 373 pages, was first published in book form in 1873 and this text is taken from the 1920 Wessex edition which was the last one to be revised by Hardy.
