Himm, Sokreaksa S. The Tears of My Soul London Monarch 2003 1854246127 / 9781854246127 First Edition Soft Cover Very Good No Jacket A Very Good+ clean and unmarked copy. The author was a young member of a large family in Siemrap City, Cambodia when the country fell to the Khmer Rouge on April 17, 1975 when his family was forced to join the exodus to the jungle villages. As the Khmer soldiers consolidated their grip, the deaths increased and finally the day dawned when his family was marched to a grave ready dug and one by one they fell as the hoes hacked them down. Sokreaksa, gravely wounded, was covered by the bodies of his brothers and sisters, his executioners walked away laughing. However he managed to climb from the mass grave and survive. A poignant glimpse into Cambodia's Killing Fields and of a young man who survived the horrific genocide of the Pol Pot regime. Price:
