As a small bookseller, we take pride in offering a personal service and can gift wrap, enclose a personal message or card with your order and are pleased to handle any special requests.
Books are usually sent out the same day as the order.
We may request additional shipping costs for heavier volumes or sets and will advise accordingly.

We accept payment in UK Pound Cheques which are to be made payable to V. Goldring and also Payment through PayPal secure site for any credit / debit cards where Payment can usually be made in the buyer's Country Currency for ease of purchase and elimination of exchange difference from their card provider. Please Email and we will quote the foreign currency equivalent.

We provide discount to institutions such as Libraries and Universities. Please enquire as these will vary on quantity and price.

Folio Society
We have a reasonable stock of Fine Folio Society editions, many First Folio in slip cases and early Folio editions. These volumes are specially produced usually with original commissioned illustrations and all with unique bindings and differing typefaces. As these are frequently heavy books the standard shipping cost may not apply and additional shipping may be needed.
Gifts
We have an excellent selection of books that have something special to commend them - whether they be an ATTRACTIVE BINDING, an AUTHOR SIGNED copy or a SCARCE TITLE - most suitable for that special gift. To ensure that these are 'gift quality' do check with us to ensure that your chosen book (or books) does not have any previous ownership inscriptions and that it will make a suitable gift.

We have acquired a private ornithologist's collection of bird and natural history books most of which are quite old and in very good condition with very good dustjackets, some quite scarce.
We have also acquired a private collector's juvenilia / childrens collection which include many in very good condition with very good dustjackets, most with dustjacket covers. These include some very collectible and fairly scarce items by famous illustrators.
Our notable recent acquisitions have been some SCARCE SIGNED volumes, some DECORATIVE BINDINGS and some SCARCE ANTIQUARIAN volumes.
We have recently acquired a large private collection of non fiction books dating from the 1930's up to 2005 which comprise academic, sciences, music, art, religion and many other subjects. All are in Very Good condition and include many scarce items. These are gradually being catalogued.
