Gold title on orange cloth boards which are very clean and unmarked with no wear. Internally very clean and unmarked with a little dust marking to top edge. A Very Good + copy. Dustjacket is complete with a little creasing to top. Second impression October 1968 (first was also October 1968). The author's first novel since his 'Clea' the last of the Alexandria Quartet, which was published in 1960, and is the story of Felix, an inventor. Felix is approached by Merlin's, an influential company but he is at first hesitant, but after a visit to Turkey he marries into the firm. It was in Athens or at Hippolyta's country house in Attica that he had felt in his element, with Iolanthe, the prostitute who had far to go, with the jesting architect Caradoc and Sipple the clown.
