Internally there is foxing to closed edges and to endpapers else clean, tight and unmarked. Many pages are unopened accounting for the very good condition. Fore edge uncut. A Very Good + copy. xix and 336 pages. Coloured frontispiece of William Buckland tissue guarded and 27 illustrations of which many are engravings on card which are tissue guarded. A definitive history first published by the society in 1907 for their centenary celebration by Horace Bolingbroke Woodward (1848-1914). 16 chapters and numerous appendices.
